Olujimi Olusola Kayode started teaching at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism in 1988 till 1995 where he became the acting director, before joining the Lagos State University. He is a journalism trainer who specializes in print media, newspaper design and media ethics. He had been, at various times, a consultant with UNICEF (1995), an external facilitator with the Lagos State Staff Development Centre (1995), as well as an examiner with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (1996). He attended the advanced trainers’ course (1990) at the International Institute of Journalism, Berlin, Germany and the Poynter Institute of Media Studies, Florida, USA which gave him an award in recognition of outstanding teaching in journalism (1991). He holds a BSc, MSc and PhD in mass communication from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He has held several positions at the school of communication: acting head public relations and advertising (2004), sub dean (2005), acting head book publishing (2006),as well as,acting head journalism department (2008, 2015). He has written an e-book, Marketing Communication, published by bookboon.com and published in several academic journals.
