HOD's Welcome Address

The Computer Science Department makes great effort to achieve excellence in creating, applying, and imparting knowledge in computer science and all it’s areas of application. Understanding that Nigeria needs more computer scientists in order to meet with the 21st century realities, the department provides an appropriate learning curriculum that will help graduates of the programme compete favourably and solve societal problems locally and internationally.  The department has a strong research framework which has led to the publication of research journals at different levels. The department of computer science in LASU currently boasts of expertise in several areas including software application development both for PC and Mobile. The department of computer science, LASU has some of the topmost computer science resources in the country and this has been reflecting in several national and international awards won over the years. The department, for the fourth time on a row, won again the Don Etibette award for the best final year computer science project.  The department runs B.Sc Computer Science at the undergraduate level and PGD, M.Sc. and PhD at the postgraduate level

More About Us

It is no more a news that computer has applications anywhere there are humans. This has led to the astronomical increase in the demand for computing experts globally. Meeting those demands requires thorough training and equipping the upcoming Computer experts with the skills and knowledge relevant to the needs of our dynamic world.
