His current innovations are built upon a history of high-impact service. Earlier in his career, he played a pivotal role in Nigeria's energy sector, providing consultancy services to the NNPC to optimize petroleum shipping capacity. Furthermore, in 2008 he pioneered the domestic LPG (cooking gas) distribution program for Nigeria LNG, a strategic intervention that dramatically increased domestic LPG consumption from less than 100,000 metric tons to over one million tonnes per annum.
In addition to his corporate endeavours, Mr. Makanjuola contributes his expertise to various leadership bodies. He serves on the Governing Council of Lagos State University, the board of the Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria, and as Vice President of the Nigerian-Belgian Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Institute of Directors.
Beyond the boardroom, he is a distinguished sportsman and social figure. An avid polo player and horse enthusiast, he recently concluded a successful three-year tenure as President of the prestigious Lagos Polo Club. He is also a member of the Lagos Motor Boat Club, Jet Ski Club, and the Metropolitan Club. Mr. Makanjuola is happily married to Moyo Makanjuola and the proud father of two children
