Exercise (IIVE)

All candidates of Lagos State origin who selected LASU as first choice in the 2026 UTME and scored a minimum of 195 are invited to register. The exercise runs from Monday, 27th April to Friday, 22nd May 2026.

How It Works

Application Instructions

Follow the three steps below to complete your Indigeneship Verification registration.

Apply

Supply your JAMB Registration Number and other required details to begin your application. Candidates for Revalidation need not apply again.

Make Payment

Pay online using a valid JAMB registration number. Select the payment description: INDIGENESHIP VERIFICATION FEES.

Print Application Form

After a successful application and payment, supply your JAMB Registration Number to view and print your completed application form.

Interview Venues

Verification Interview Locations

The Verification Interview commences Monday, 27th April 2026 at the venues below, grouped by division.

Returning Candidates

IIVC Revalidation

Candidates of Lagos State origin who were screened and cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) in the 2024/2025 or 2025/2026 Academic Session and who have also chosen LASU for 2026/2027 need not register for the ongoing exercise.

Candidates are only required to pay the revalidation fee and revalidate their Indigeneship Clearance Certificates online.

In case of unsuccessful revalidation, the following documents must be submitted:

  Required Documents

  • Revalidation Report (Print Out)
  • 2026 UTME Registration Slip
  • Registration Slip of the Applicable Year

  Already Cleared?

If you were previously verified and cleared by the IIVC in 2024/2025 or 2025/2026, you do not need to re-register. Simply pay the revalidation fee and confirm your status online.

General Information

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only candidates of Lagos State origin are eligible for screening.
  • Candidates must be cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) before participating in online admission screening.
  • All Direct Entry candidates of Lagos State origin must participate before they can be considered for admission.
  • The exercise does not guarantee or serve as proof of admission into Lagos State University.
