The Gap in Literature: Though there a many research work on the cultural tourism, but there is a limited or lacuna in knowing how society has been able to make use of culture in the development of her cultural potentials.

CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED BY TOURISTS IN BADAGRY LOCAL GOVERNMENT, LAGOS STATE
Tourism has been a very lucrative business and means of employment in the world; as the globe emerges, people always want to explore every tourist attraction that is known to them. As Nigeria had in the past misses so many chances to develop the tourism industry, so is the industry facing various degrees of challenges.
The objective of this study is to identify the potential challenges tourists’ encounters in Badagry Local Government and proffering solutions to the challenges using a qualitative research method. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Key Informant Interview (KII) was employ for data collections which was transcribed for analysis.
The study find out that respondents expressed their opinion differently on
the various challenges tourists’ encounters in Badagry Local Government. 69.4%
of the respondents agreed with the statement that tourists’ faces a lot of
challenges majorly in terms of roads networking, means of transportation and
security concerns. The remaining 30.6% of the respondents disagreed with the
statement.
