Description: The role of taxation can not be overemphasized in a growing economy like that of Nigeria. Taxation is a source of income for Government to embark on public infrastructures for the benefit of the general populace. The legality of taxes is therefore important for the citizens who are paying him. This paper's primary purpose is to legally analyse the tax regime in Nigeria in respect of Insurance business. Insurance in any economy is the bedrock of citizen stability and ability to undertake risk for the growth of that country vis avis Science, economy or political which are necessary for the growth of the society. It is line with this paper is ensure that there is synergy between the tax regulation and Insurance business.
