Dr. Gbadebo Anthony Olagunju is an Associate Professor in the Department of Jurisprudence, International and Islamic Law, Faculty of Law, Lagos State University. He holds both the LL.B and the LL.M degrees of the University of Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University), Nigeria and a Ph.D of St. Augustine University of Tanzania- (SAUT). He holds the Barrister at Law (BL) Professional Bar Certificate of the Nigerian Law School. He has also attended various courses and training on ICT. He was a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg, Germany and Fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar, Schloss Leopoldskron, Austria. He was Faculty Adviser/Team Coach of the Lagos State University for International Moots to the University of Oxford 2011 and 2012 respectively; University of London 2011; and Goethe Universitat, Frankfurt AM, Germany 2012. He was Sub-Dean, Faculty of Law 2001-2002; Case Review Editor of LASU Law Journal 2000-2001; Cases and Statutes Editor LASU Law Journal 2001-2004; Programme Officer, Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Law 2002-2004; Programme Officer, LL.M in Maritime and Commercial Law 2006-2008; and Head of the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law 2010-2012. He was a former Secretary-General of the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT: 2001-2002), and former First Assistant Secretary-General of the Nigerian Society of International Law (NSIL: 2001-2004). He was Coordinator, Faculty of Law Postgraduate Programmes, Lagos State University (2013-2018). He was Assistant Director, Results and Data Processing, Lagos State University External System (LASUES: 2016-2018). He has written over 30 articles published in reputable books and academic journals both local and international, and attended several conferences both local and international. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA); Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT); Nigerian Society of International Law ((NSIL); International Maritime Lecturers’ Association (IMLA), Malmo, Sweden; Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS); and the African Law Association (ALA), Germany. Dr. Gbadebo Anthony Olagunju is also a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He currently heads the Department of International and Islamic Law in the Faculty of Law of the Lagos State University. He is married to Dr. Stella Isioma Olagunju and they are blessed with children.
