Entrepreneurial management and survival of small businesses in Southwest Nigeria

The survival of small business determines the level at which an economy could be transformed. Therefore, the survival of these businesses is a concern for all stakeholders. The study examines the influence of entrepreneurial management (strategic orientation, entrepreneurial culture, and entrepreneurial leadership) on the survival of small businesses in Southwest Nigeria. The study intends to adopt survey research design and Lagos, Oyo and Osun are the selected States selected. A total of 489 businesses are determined via Cochran formular and multistage sampling is used. The study intends to employ inferential statistics to test the hypotheses of the study. It is expected that components entrepreneurial management should have positive and significant effect on small business survival. The findings of the study shall be relevant for the decision making of small business owners on how to survive environmental pressure. Also, the findings can be used as a platform for further studies
