Research Interest

Topic: Dynamic Characterization Of Passenger Vehicle With Semi-active Suspension System Under Roadway Conditions

Description:

The research work focuses on the performance of vehicles under different road conditions viz smooth roads, gravel roads and suburban roads. The performance analysis of vehicles is carried out using the discomfort parameter experienced by the occupants. The dynamic tyre load and the vehicle suspension working space was also analyzed of the different roads when the vehicle traverses them. The power spectra density (PSD), was used to analyze the road disturbance.

Extraction of Modal Parameters for a Multi-supported Sandwich Composite Elastic Beams using Integral Transform and Metrics Analysis: The Case of Linear Pressure Distribution

Research Details

This research focused on the application of integral transform and metrics methods in the analysis of multi-supported sandwich composite elastic beams. The multi-supported beams were simply supported at the different spans. The pressure distribution along the beam was considered to be linear for the different spans of the beam. Using integral transform (laplas transform and Fourier transform), the equations of the different spans were derived. These modal parameters for different spans of the beams were extracted and cast into metrics form.
