Danoye Oguntola Laguda, PhD, is a scholar of religion with specialization in Philosophy of Religion. He is a Professor of Philosophy of Religion. He has been working in the Department of Religions and Peace Studies, Lagos State University(www.lasu.edu.ng), Ojo, Lagos Nigeria where he lecture and research into the social values of religions, especially those dominant in Africa and Nigeria religious spaces. He was Senior Research Fellow with the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the Simon Muzenda School of Arts, Culture and Heritage Studies, Great Zimbabwe University, Mashava, Masvingo (2019). His areas of interest include but not limited to: Indigenous Religious Traditions, Religion and Conflicts, Religion and Culture, Teaching and Study of Religion and Religion and Social Institutions. He is a member of the Executive Committee of International Association for the Study of Religion(IAHR). He is a member of America Academy of Religion (AAR) and Africa Association for the Study of Religion (AASR) and African Consortium for Law and Religion (ACLARS). He has published in several journals of international repute including Journal of Religion in Africa and Journal of Africa and Oriental Studies (JOAS).
