Olarewaju Ogunlana is a Senior Lecturer and coordinator of M.Sc. programme in the Department of Economics, Lagos State University, Ojo Campus, Nigeria. He received his undergraduate and postgraduate trainings from the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos (1989-1994), University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos (1998-1999) and University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State (2006- 2015).
Olarewaju Ogunlana has good record of teaching, research and administrative experiences. He has taught courses both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in two different faculties at the Lagos State University, Ojo. Over 35 publications in local and international journals are to his credit. He has occupied many administrative positions both in the Department and University at large. During 2004-2006, he was the programme officer for Diploma programme in Economics. From 2016 till date, member, Faculty of Social Sciences Publication Committee and member, LASU Consultancy Advisory Committee. From 2017 till date, Chairman, Faculty of Social Sciences Business Committee and member of LASU publishing Committee. In 2019-2020, he was a member of Department of Economics Journal Committee.
Olarewaju Ogunlana’s performance in handling academic issues accorded him several honours and distinctions both in and out of Lagos State University. Being a member of Nigerian Economic Society (NES), he is a fellow of strategic institute for Natural Resources and Human Development.
His research interest is on Development Economics with special interest in corruption study.
