Topic: INFLUENCE OF PARENTING STYLE AND TELEVISION VIEWING ON PUPILS INTEREST IN SCHOOLING AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AMONG PRIMARY PUPILS IN LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA
Description: To know the impacts of influence of parenting style, hours of television viewing and interest in schooling on academic performance of pupils in Lagos State. The research covers rural and urban primary schools. The researcher hope to document styles used by parent within Lagos State, due to the fact that presently parents are bordered with the burden of how to make a living and the effect has been a devastating negative influence on the children. Parents are no longer available to perform their primary role on their children. This research hope to find possible solution to some of this burdening and controversial issues, more importantly to document findings and its implication to the larger society.

An Evaluation into Cases, Pattern and Parental Involvement in Child Labour among Children in Southwest Nigeria
Introduction
The rate at which we
have children hawking on our major road is at a very alarming rate, markets,
inter-roads are not left out.
Cases and allegations of assaults, rape, molestation, accidents, kidnapping, theft are common occurrence on daily basis are incidents that these children encounter, despite the unending dangers being experienced by the children, the numbers keeps increasing by the day.
Aims and Objective
The researcher therefore
seeks to evaluate the trend of these cases and their pattern.
In addition, there is no
way we can exclude parental role in the scenarios described earlier.
The study will clearly give us insight into the above problems.
Methodology
The study will cover
major cities in the southwestern part of Nigeria.
The study is at the stage of fieldwork.
