Institutional Factors and use of institutional Repository as determinant of lecturers research Productivity in Selected Federal Universities in Nigeria.

The research work is to showcase the effective use of institutional repositories for lecturers& academic output for good webometrics ranking of universities.many Nigerian Universities Especially, State-owned Universities are very complacent in depositing their research output and maximizing the use of repositories in their domain, thereby not being fully connected to global research showcases because of their inability to maximize the advantage that repositories can give.lecturers& responsibility lies in teaching research and community services. Lecturers& productivity is measured in terms of quality and quantity of research done in their lifetime. quality output is measured by different parameters and adjudged by decisions and rules by the apex ruling body of the institution of higher learning. e.g. Universities . Measurement of research output of lecturers in terms of quantity is strictly done by the number of research output published. therefore this research work was done to examine lecturers& output in Nigerian Universities and to access their level of productivity through institutional factors that can help or marred the use of institutional repositories in Nigerian Universities.
