Theatre Management is a discipline that has emerged but has not received rigorous, extensive and exhaustive study in the field of theatre in Nigeria. Threatre management seeks to examine the theatre and its management dynamics. It seeks to know the nexus between theatre and management. Although has been part of the process of theatrical productions ever since the origin of the theatre, its study as an academic discipline is still on the fringes in the country.This study examines the effects of the Application of Effective Management Skills on Theatre for Development (TfD) practice in Nigeria. Hitherto, Theatre for Development practice has been going on which little or no management skills application. These management skills include among others; planning, organizing, leading, motivation, evaluation, follow - up and control. The study experimentally conducted six TfD Workshops. A set of workshop were done to show poor application of management skills. This was done to show the efficacy of management in TfD. Also, the workshops were carried out for comparism between poor and effective management skills.
