Effect of Nigelia sativa on the reproductive function of the male-induced diabetic Wistar rat
Infertility is a disease of the male and female
reproductive system defined by the failure to achieve pregnancy after 12 months
or more of regular unprotected sex. Diabetes is one growing cause of
infertility in males.
Aim
To determine the effects of nigella sativa on
the reproductive functions of male induced diabetes rats.
To determine the effects of nigella sativa on
the sperm parameters, sperm damage, raection and capictance of the male
wistar rats
To determine the effects on the behavioral
changes in the male wistar rats.
To determine the effects of nigella sativa on
the antioxidants level of the testis. epididymis, prostate gland of the male
wistar rats.
To determine the effects of Nigella Sativa on
metabolism such as lipid metabolism, protein and carbohydrates of male wistar
rats.
To determine the effects
of Nigella Sativa on the antioxidant level of the testis, epipdymis, prostate
glands of male wistar rats.
To determine the effects of Nigella Sativa on the behavioural changes in male wistar rats
Contribution to knowledge
This study is justified by the pressing need to explore the effects of medicinal plants to diabetes and helps those struggling with infertility.
