Description: Peace is everybody s business as well as a requisite phenomena for the world social order. It brought about tranquility, progress as well as development to man and mans space. The main aim is to ensure that the peace and peaceful coexistence of man and his environment is encouraged and promoted. Also, to resolve conflict or violent conflict that may pose threat to man and man s space for expected and desired development of the immediate society and community. To achieve the lovable and laudable ideas is to engage in constant research, teaching, and community service seminars, workshop, conferences, research collaboration, engaging the communities and other relevant programmes . If the organised formal setting of teaching, research, and community service are well followed, the expected result will be achieved. The man and man s society will benefit from the research interest. Every research on peace, human and community development will undoubtedly contribute to knowledge and human society. There is no doubt, it will serve as suggestions for further study for other researchers, it will surely improve the quality of research towards the sustainability of human race and broaden the knowledge of individuals to develop positive ideas towards others as the same human fellow created to live harmoniously within the small space but with large heart of tolerance, patience, accommodation, love, and togetherness.

Security Machineries, Multiple Union Taxation and Commercial Bus Drivers in Lagos State, Nigeria

Unionism has its own benefits especially to every member of the group. To make the union functioning as it should, there is need for financial capacity that based on the strategy for strong revenue generation. This may be in form of levy to every member and other legal means designed by the leadership of the union. Road Transport Union in Lagos State is one of the trade union in Nigeria that has a strong internal means of generating revenue through its daily taxation of its members. The main objective of this research is to investigate the reasons behind some bus drivers that uses military and paramilitary security personnel as staff to evade payment of tax-revenue to the union. It is a qualitative research that will employ purposive sampling technique and Key Informant Interview KII for data collection. The study will reveal a concealed individual protestation by the commercial bus drivers and afford the policy formulators and executives on the multiple taxation in some sectors and segments of the economy in the state.
