IMPACTING DRUMMING SKILL IN CHILDREN: THE CATCH THEM YOUNG AS EXAMPLE, AT ST THOMAS ACQUINAS CATHOLIC COLLEGE
There are several
principles and reasons to what constitutes children's theatre. The main reason
for this is because the term is used as a literal description of theatre that
involves children in one way or the order and aids to their learning skills,
therefore making them spontaneous theatre for children, theatre with
children, and theatre by children. This study is to show that, there is a need
to train children about drum because, apart from its rhythmic purpose, it can
add to their intellectual knowledge since music is the soul of life. There is
no general conclusion and relevant materials dealing with
academic activity discussing the impact of drumming skills in children. A
significant improvement of IQ, and the ability to concentrate as a result of
enhanced music education, consisting of playing of-instruments , recorded
lessons, lessons on other musical instruments. Therefore it is very important
to take note that age factor add to the level of the children intellectual
capacity, which would be considered during the CATCH THEM YOUNG WORKSHOP, and
later theatrical drum performance in collaboration with pupils and students at
St. Thomas Aquinas College. This study focuses on the importance of impacting
drum skill technique into children as a form of entertainment, promotion of
culture and can also aid learning process in other aspect of their lives. To achieve its objective, the researcher organized a drumming
session for age 9-15 drummers for a week. Documenting the outcome of the
workshop is the purpose of this paper. This paper is almost completed.
