Martin Heidegger and the Problem of Unified Theory of Being: An Afro-Ontological Investigation

Research Details

This research is focused on the problem of unified theory of Being in the history of philosophy from an Afro-ontological perspective. This place African ontology on global intellectual discourse by applying phenomenological orunmeneutics as an interpreting tool. It is expected that core issues of African ontology would be highlighted, their contributions to global issues ranging from how African ontological concepts can contribute to global peace and other discipline necessity opened to human ontological growth. The aim/objectives is to investigate the question how the Human mind organizes being? The most influential way of casting this question is to ask: why is there something rather than nothing? In its most contemporary enactment it is the question of Unified Theory of Being. The responses that this question has generated can hardly be ignored in the history of philosophy as a discipline. Thus, this research is investigating the contributions of some Ancient concepts of philosophy and their influence on post-colonial African ontology through Martin Heidegger’s conception of unified theory of being.
