Dr. Olasunkanmi Sunday Arowolo is a journalism scholar and Lecturer at the Lagos State University (LASU), where he began his full-time teaching career in 2017 as a Graduate Assistant before his promotion to Assistant Lecturer in 2018. Prior to LASU, he served as a Graduate Assistant at Osun State University during his National Service. A specialist in multimedia design, print media, and media framing, he recently earned his PhD from the University of Kent (2025) with the rare distinction of "no corrections" and was endorsed by the British Academy as a Global Talent in Media and Communication. His research focuses on the sociology of news, digital journalism, and the framing of poverty and politics, particularly regarding Nigeria's National Social Investment Programmes (NSIP). He is an active member of the International Communication Association (ICA), the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN), and the African Council for Communication Education (ACCE).
