Research Details

Introduction: Entrepreneurship education has been considered a relevant field of study. The goal of entrepreneurial studies programme is to empower graduates, irrespective of their areas of specialization with skills that will enable them to engage in income-yielding ventures if they are unable to secure paid jobs. The promotion of entrepreneurship and promulgation of Small and Medium Scale Enterprise (SMEs) policy has become an important development prescription in recent years. Goetz, Fleming & Rupasigha (2012) found that venture creation has a significant positive economic impact not only on wages and salary employment but also on wages and salary employment but also on per capital growth and poverty reduction. Empirical research reveals the prominent role of SMEs to economic development, especially in area of wealth creation and employment generation in countries like China, Enterprise creation depends on one's prepared mindset or intentions, and this depends on one's personality and abilities. In most economies SMEs occupy the greatest proportion of enterprises (Katua,2016). A study done by Federal Office of Statistics showed that 97% of all businesses are SMEs and there are over a total of 17.4 million SMEs in Nigeria.
