Topic: INFLUENCE OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT AND ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE
Description: This research project examined effect of human resource development and organizational performance in Food and Beverage industry However, the objectives of this study were to: determine if there is significant relationship between training and development and organisational performance. Also, to determine if the significant relationship between organization development and output performance. The methods and design of the study adopted the simple random technique in collecting data from the case study. The sample size of the population is two hundred and forty-four (244). The data collection method involved the use of primary and secondary methods. The primary method made use of questionnaire methods, while the secondary method made use of relevant text books, articles and journals. Data were analysed with the help of chi-square. The findings show that there is significant relationship between training and development and organizational performance. Also, there is significant relationship between organization development and output performance, also that there is significant relationship between career development and long term profitability in the manufacturing industry and finally that there is significant relationship between human resource development practices and organizational competitive advantages in the Food and Beverages manufacturing industry. Furthermore, the recommendations proffered in this study stated that: human resource development programmes should be given priority by all establishments in order to forestall adequate job performance for all levels of workers. Also, training needs of the organization as well as that of workers must be identified before making recommendations for training.
