E-Government and Employees Performance in the Public Service of Southwest Nigeria
Introduction E-Government is a concept that is increasingly accepted by practitioners and academics. Government, globally, are embracing e- government, which explains its importance and fast spreading nature. Aims/Objectives. a to identify the impact of e-government on employees performance in the public service of Southwest Nigeria b to assess the benefits and incentives of e-government in the public service of Southwest Nigeria, c to examine the challenges confronting e-government implementation in Southwest Nigeria d to determine the various ways in which e-government can improve employees performance in Southwest Nigeria.Methodology. The study will adopt a survey research design. Both primary and secondary data will be utilized. Primary data in this work referred to the data collected through the administration of questionnaire and conduct of in-depth interview. Information or responses collected from the field were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Expected ResultsResults also showed that the incentives and benefits usually associated with e government has not been fully utilized or explored in the public service of Southwest Nigeria. It showed that the various challenges confronting e government in Southwest Nigeria has not been adequately addressed by government in that geo-political zone of the country.Contribution to Knowledge/ SocietyThis paper will provide essential information on E-government and Employees performance in Southwest Nigeria.
