On Cultism, he stated emphatically that he would never sign any Memorandum of Understanding with any Cult group[s] openly or otherwise, saying the present University Management has zero tolerance for cultism and other associated activities.
Furthermore, Dr. Obayori urged the Students’ Leaders on the need to promote progressive and vibrant Students’ Unionism at the University. He promised that the Management would review some of the existing examination malpractice Laws. He urged students to always dress decently and responsibly.
Responding, the President, LASUSU, Tayo Sekoni, thanked the new Dean Students’ Affairs for the rare opportunity; taking time to interact with the Students’ Leaders and was confident the Management would address the demands of the students in due course. The Faculties’ Executives talked on the following areas of needs: Shuttle Buses, Classrooms, LASUSU Constitution, Academic Calendar, Students’ hostel, Health Centre, Students’ Identity Card, Handbook amongst others. They hoped the University Management would urgently look into these issues. The Principal Assistant Registrar, Students’ Affairs, Mr. Salisu T. Yekini and other Members of the Division were in attendance.
