FEDERAL GOVERNMENT APPOINTS LASU’S DR. ABOSEDE OFI CHAIRMAN, NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COUNCIL OF NIGERIA (NMCN)

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Health, has appointed Dr. Abosede Bola Ofi, of the School of Nursing, Lagos State University, as Chairman, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Her appointment as Head of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), alongside that of other Governing Bodies in the health sector, was published in the Punch Newspaper of Wednesday, 26th April, 2017, where it was also announced that the bodies will be inaugurated on Friday, 28th April, 2017 at the Barcelona Hotel, Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja by 10:00am prompt.

Dr. Abosede Bola Ofi, a pioneer Academic Staff of the University’s School of Nursing, will serve as Chairman of the Council for a period of Four (4) years.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, on behalf of the Lagos State University Governing Council, Senate, Management, Staff and Students congratulates Dr. Ofi on her appointment and wishes her a successful tenure in office.
