In an E-Mail message sent to Dean School of Communication, LASU by the Programme Coordinator, Birmingham School of Media, Birmingham City University (BCU), the Partnership Programme brings the following benefits to LASU School of Communication:
- Five(5) Senior Academic Staff of LASU School of Communication will undertake a 7 – Day working visit in 2017 to Birmingham School of Media, BCU to take part in the academic programmes of the host University and specifically teach in the Postgraduate Programmes (M.A. & PhD) of BCU, as well as present guest lectures during the School’s (BCU) seminar series. The rest of the visit will be filled with meetings with the various stakeholders in the School and faculty to discuss research partnerships;
- Three (3) PhD students of LASU will, in 2018, visit BCU for a period of three (3) months during which time they will participate fully in the academic activities of the host University (along with their contemporaries in the host Institution), and transfer academic credits back to LASU on completion of the three-month academic programme;
- For the two categories of beneficiaries (five academic staff and three PhD students of LASU) all expenses, including air flight and accommodation, will be fully borne under the funding arrangement of the Erasmus + Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility Programme.
